What is Ayurveda?

The primary aims of Ayurveda are to maintain the health of healthy people and to cure the diseases of sick people. Rejuvenation which plays an important part in Ayurvedic texts is achieved by combining essential herbs to create rejuvenating Rasayanas to aid and balance bodily functions.

Ayurveda as represented by a series of ancient Vedic Indian texts written in Sanskrit, is an unfathomable knowledge base which deals with the “science of life”. It tackles various aspects of human life from general medicine to surgery and rejuvenation to psychiatry. Ayurveda promotes a cohesion between physical and mental well being of an individual without treating either in isolation. Ayurvedic doctors try to bring balance to the body and the mind and believe there is much potential in both these spheres to aid each other. Yet another fundamental theory of Ayurveda is to not just treat the symptoms of a disease but to completely eradicate the root cause of the disease. Further more, treatments are based on naturally occurring herbs and minerals.

Ayurveda is a holistic science directed at teaching how one should live a well moderated life. It provides an indepth insight into the lifestyle of an individual. During an Ayurvedic evaluation, doctors study all aspects of the patient ranging from one’s fundamental body-type, family history to the current lifestyle, habits, excesses and diet. The diagnosis of an individual is done in a customised manner. A detailed scheme of diet, daily routine, ideal life-style are suggested for the patient to lead a disease free life. Ayurvedic texts suggests that the body is governed by three biological body types or doshas (Pitta, Vata & Kapha). Healthy individuals are the ones who live their lives in complete harmony with their physical and mental constitution.

Rejuvenating Rasayanas

Alarasayana (Blood purifier), Gulkand (Coolant), Brahmi (Brain tonic), Triphala (Digestive Detoxificant) & Guggul (Nerve rejuvenator) are some examples of common herbal elixirs mentioned in Ayurveda.

According to Ayurveda, in order for healthy individuals to face the extraordinary challenges of modern life, be it physical or mental, one needs to opt for “Rasayana-tantra” or “Rejuvenation Therapy”. This is a special branch of sciences within Ayurveda that exclusively deals with the creation of herbal elixirs (known as “Rasayanas”) which promote an energetic state of body and mind; thus enhancing the state of happiness. These herbal elixirs come in various states from dried powders, extracts & syrups to pastes like jams and preserves. Rasayanas are modern day equivalents of dietary and nutritional supplements. Traditionally such elixirs are given to young and old alike; young children and teenagers can use these as tonics and the middle-aged and old individuals use these to enhance the quality of life. In most cases different “Rasayanas” focus on different aspects of rejuvenation. The most important of all Rasayanas is this unique and yet universal formula of “Chyawanprash” which is also referred to as the “King of Rasayanas”.

What is Chyawanprash?

The “King of Rasayanas” has seen an upsurge in its popularity as more and more individuals around the world feel the need to rejuvenate & re-energize themselves considering ever increasing pressures and stresses of living our hectic modern lives. Chyawanprash is thus a universal elixir rejuvenating one and all, irrespective of their age, race and gender.

The first historically documented formula for Chyawanprash was written by sage Charak in the 4th century BC in an Ayurvedic treatise titled “Charak Samhita”. According to this text, Chyawanprash is the most important of all “Rasayanas” or herbal elixirs. Some even call it the “King of Rasayanas”. These titles have been attributed to Chyawanprash because of its wide scope of benefits. Some of these include alleviating respiratory problems, increasing immunity, providing energy, sharpening one’s senses, improving digestion, enhancing cognition and memorization and even youthful companionship with the opposite sex.

Our limited edition export-grade Chyawanprash formulations are 100% natural and prepared from fresh Amla fruits (Emblica officinalis) in batches of less than 500 kg. These do not contain any preservatives, additives, thickeners, artificial colours or artificial flavours! Since these batches are meant for export to the U.S/EU, they do not contain any unpleasant ingredients like metals or minerals. You truly get authentic and original Chyawanprash prepared from fresh Amla fruits and EU accepted herbs.

We firmly believe that all Ayurvedic preparations, especially “Rasayanas” were originally prepared in extremely small batches to achieve complete control over inputs, production and the final output. Mass production of such complex preparations inevitably results in compromises with regards to the production methods used and overall quality of ingredients. Our formulations are produced using standards described in Ayurveda during peak harvest seasons and at traditional manufacturing units in India which are renowned for formulating and producing potent Ayurvedic medicines. Each small batch of the finished product is put through strict quality control tests to check for impurities, heavy metals and microbial activity. By undertaking small batch manufacturing, we ensure that you get to enjoy the most potent elixir resulting from a very limited, exquisite and exclusive production process.

There is such a high regard for quality over quantity, that we only process 350 / 500 kg of Chyawanprash per batch! Our Chyawanprash is prepared from the flesh of Amla fruits and not from dried Amla powder. Thus production is limited to late autumn, winter and early spring months during which Amla is in season in India.

Quality Certificates

We exclusively deal in export grade Chyawanprash formulations.

Exporting Indian products entails exposing the product to greater scrutiny abroad under stringent global standards. This results in manufacturers paying more attention to details which they may otherwise neglect when selling to local markets. Employing higher standards of ingredients inputs, process inspection, laboratory testing and post production quality control results in products which match US/European safety standards and are generally more palatable and safer for consumption and use.

Our fresh Amla Chyawanprash formulations are manufactured at ISO9001:2008, ISO22000:2005, HACCP certified manufacturing units. Each and every export batch is examined by the Export Inspection Council of India for non-gmo and food safety standards.

Why is fresh Amla better than powdered Amla?

The Vitamin C connection: Amla (Emblica officinalis) contains the highest concentration of Vitamin C of all fruits. Vitamin C content of one Amla fruit is equivalent to that of three oranges. Vitamin C is one of the least stable of all vitamins in solution and is oxidized readily in light, air and when heated. To retain as much Vitamin C as one can, the original formula for Chyawanprash makes it mandatory for formulators to use fresh Amla. Unfortunately, to produce Chyawanprash throughout the year many large batch manufacturing companies resort to using cheaper & less nutritious dried Amla in their formulations. Our Chyawanprash formulas on the other hand are only manufactured from late Autumn to early Spring when fresh Amla is readily available in the market.

Our Chyawanprash formulations are prepared from over 40 potent natural ingredients. These ingredients are procured at the peak of their harvest season. Each ingredient comes from different states within India; Saffron is obtained from the Kashmir valley, Amla is sourced from Madhya Pradesh, Cardamom is hand-picked from plantations in Kerala etc. We do not use powdered form of Amla! Only the freshest Amla fruits (Emblica officinalis) harvested in autumn and winter, are used to prepare our formulations. This imparts our Chyawanprash formulations that distinctly rich taste, texture and aroma!
